Abstract

This article describes the trajectory and scope of the Federal District Public Defender's Office Women's Day project based exclusively on public sources: official project pages, institutional communications, and related press articles. A descriptive documentary analysis was carried out of the 28 editions held between May 2023 and October 2025, with standardized extraction of date, location, total number of cases reported, services offered, and partnerships, recording the URL and date of access. In the three most recent editions of the sample, there were 2,666 cases in the 26th edition 04 August 2025, 01 September 2025, 06 October 2025, and 2,338 in the 28th (10/06/2025), evidencing monthly regularity and high demand. Throughout the series, there was a recurring offer of legal guidance, health actions, psychosocial support, civil documentation, and social assistance referrals, made possible by an intersectoral network of partners. Public records point to increased access to essential services for women in vulnerable situations in the Federal District. As this is aggregated and asymmetric data, no causal impact can be inferred at the individual level; it is recommended that minimum indicators (e.g., total number of visits by type of service and basic disaggregations) be standardized and published periodically in a public repository to allow for longitudinal monitoring and future evaluations.
